My name is Alan Wacha and I am a Certified Salesman at Champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep here in Palestine, Texas. We are a 5 Star Dealership. We carry all three brands of Chrysler products. To be a Certified Salesperson by Chrysler standards I am required to take Continueing Eduication. Some of these courses can be taken online while others require you to be hands on. At this time I am up to date. I want to be the best there is. I enjoy learning my product and the competition product. That way I know what I am talking about. I have sold GMC, Pontiac, Buick and Ford. I got my start a few years ago at Bill Rogers Pontiac Buick and GMC. I learned a lot from the late Bill Rogers. What a GREAT guy and his son Bill Jr. Thanks so much.
Champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep is a franchise store and has always had a good relationship with Chrysler LLC. My General Manager, Tom Barnett, received the "CHRYSLER DEATH" letter that were sent to 789 Chrysler dealerships across the United States of America. The "CHRYSLER DEATH" letter stated that we along with 788 other Chrysler dealerships would not be allowed to continue to move forward with Chrysler LLC. We were only given a few days to dispurse all remaining Chrysler products. We are to accept all vehicles that are in transit. Our Parts Department are to dispurse all remaining MOPAR products. Chrysler LLC will not purchase any vehicle or parts from the "DOOMED DEATH DEALERSHIPS". Our Dealer Prinicipal as all others must suffer all the losses.
Champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep has operated in good faith here in Palestine, Texas for many years. We help support many community functions. This year as years before we participate in the annual Texas Dogwood Trails Festival, Dodge Rodeo, Youth Livestock Auction, Crawfish Boil, Cars of Palestine car show, Congo Truck Car Show, Palestine High School, Westwood High School and many other events. Many dollars are give to organizations to help various fund raising events.
Should Chrysler LLC be allowed to close these 789 dealerships across the United States of America it will divistate local communities like Palestine. The State Sales Tax, County and City Sales Tax that is collected here Palestine and Anderson County will now go to other counties. These counties will get new funds to help operiate their cities and counties, thus causing less money to operate on in the cities that the "DEATH LETTER DEALERSHIPS" was received. Our local Cancer support group, amature "ham" radio club, volunteer firemen, and our school children will receive less funds to operate on.
Our dealership is strong. We do not owe anyone. Our bills are paided on time. Our community has come out in full support of us stayng open. We want to remain open . Some dealerships have made the choice to close and not fight this nonsense.
I am asking you to take a few moments to sign you name and city and state as a protest to the closing of the 789 stores. It is estimated by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson's office that 44,000 Chrysler Dealerships Employees will be out of work. This could turn into over 500,000 people out of work. How could this happened ? When the skilled workers at Sears, Walmart, Burger King and others are not meeting their quotas the same can happened.
I do not just like my job, I LOVE my job. Not many people can say that.
This website is not solely intended for Chrysler Dealerships that made the list, but for our competitors as well at General Motors, Ford, and whoever else. General Motors is to close down 1,100 stores in the next several months.
If you feel the need is there to sign this petition please do so.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my web page.

What Does Dealership Closing Mean To You and I
If our American government allows Chrysler to close 788 dealership this means yours and my tax dollars are to be used to put these dealerships out of business. Should your tax dollars be allowed to put American Citizen on the streets? Call your local congressman today and ask them to vote for House Bill 2743 Please do this today.
If The American Government allows Chrysler to close the 788 dealerships across the nation this will set the stage for all companies to close a franchise at will. There not be a New Holland, Ramada Inn, Burger King, or any other franchise safe. This could mean your job or a love one job. General Motors will watch what happends with Chrysler and will follow their leads to close 1,100 General Motors dealerships across the nation. Call your Congressman or Congresswoman today.
This picture was taken the last official day we were Champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
Monday June 8, 2009 came to quick for 66,000 people. This is Death Day for 789 dealerships. I feel sure Mr Price (ceo for chrysler) must felt like Adolf Hilter sending the thousands of people to their deaths all at one time. The power they must feel.
On June 12, 2009 Mr Henderson of GM and Mr Price of Chrysler met with the United States of America Senators. For several hours the U.S. Senators asked questions to Mr Henderson and Mr Price as to how each dealership was chosen for the Death List. Under oath Mr. Price blantly lied to the U.S. Snators. Several times he was asked if any dealership had vehicles on their lots or parts inventory and he said under oath NO. As of Monday June 15, 2009 our dealership still has about 47 vehicls. We still have parts in the parts department.. I saw for my own eyes small dealerships with $250,000. in parts. There are millions of dollars in parts that are looking for homes. Last Saturday, June 13, 2009, I was up in the Dallas area and I went past several Chrysler Dodge and Jeep dealerships and if what I saw is an example of the entire U.S. then there will be 2008, 2009 when the 2010 are introduced. Our dealership had about 180 days of inventory as most all dealerships. Now the remaining Chrysler dealerships will have an inventory of somewhere abouat 270 to 300 days. Will the factorys open again this year ? probably not. What will this do the economy ?
Some dealerships will close their doors, some will sell used, preowned, vehicles, while others will seek other brands to sell. The dealerships that will remain open selling only used cars will struggle. There is a market for good used vehicles, but there are not that many. High mileage, older vehicles can not get financed through banks and who wants one.
